Planning a sourcing trip to Guangzhou for the 140th Canton Fair? For distributors, builders and project buyers, attractive product photographs are only the beginning. Actual samples help you ask more specific questions about opening systems, hardware, glazing and installation requirements.
From October 23–27, 2026, JBD HOME will welcome international buyers for separate factory and showroom visits in Foshan. The aim is to connect what you see with the specifications your project actually needs.
JBD HOME will not be exhibiting at the Canton Fair and will not have a booth at the exhibition. All meetings with our team will take place separately in Foshan and should be arranged in advance.

A PRACTICAL SAMPLE CHECKLIST
01 / OPENING OPERATION
A door or window can look impressive when closed, but everyday use depends on how the complete system operates. For sliding systems, move the panels through their intended travel and check the handle, track and closing action.
For folding systems, observe the folding sequence and where the panels stack. For casement windows and hinged doors, check the opening direction and hardware arrangement.
Ask about your dimensions: A compact sample should not automatically be treated as evidence that a much larger configuration will perform the same way.
02 / HARDWARE & LOCKING
Handles, hinges, rollers and locking components deserve attention beyond their surface finish. Operate the handle and ask the team to explain how the locking points engage.
On Sliding doors, review the roller and track configuration. On hinged or pivot doors, discuss hardware selection in relation to the intended door dimensions and weight.
03 / GLASS CONFIGURATION
“Double glazing” alone does not describe a complete glass specification. Discuss glass thicknesses, cavity width, Low-E options and any tempered or laminated glass requirements for your project.
Where thermal, acoustic or safety performance matters, request relevant documentation for the proposed configuration. A visual inspection can explain construction, but cannot establish thermal ratings, sound reduction or impact resistance.
Provide the destination: Share the project country and required performance criteria so the applicable product and supporting documents can be reviewed.
04 / SEALS & DRAINAGE
Inspect gasket continuity, corner joints, panel meeting points and the sill or track. Ask how the proposed system manages water and how the drainage route should remain clear after installation.
If a low threshold is preferred, discuss that choice together with site exposure, installation details and weather-resistance requirements. These conversations are particularly useful for exposed terraces, balconies and large exterior openings.
05 / ORDER SPECIFICATION
A sample is a reference point. The final order needs a clear written specification. Record the proposed system, dimensions, opening layout, finish, glass, hardware and screen options before comparing prices.
Identify differences between the displayed sample and your requested configuration. For projects involving aluminum windows and doors, entrance doors, interior Wooden Doors and Garage Doors, keep separate specifications for each category.
Record the differences: Matching the colour or design does not mean different products share the same construction or performance.
